How much power (watts) does a pair of Airmotiv 6s use?
Does it use power all the time, or only when sound is being emitted?

It behaves the same as any Class A/B does. It consumes relative to the demands placed in it. I have the 6S and you can demand allot from them. I don't have the specific power consumption figures but considering it uses the same kind of power supply as the Linear Power Supply amplifiers, I expect the Airmotiv 6S to have a similar power consumption spec.

Do you have an estimate as to what you think it consumes?
And so does that mean that if no input is being sent to it to produce sound, then it consumes no power (or very minimal)?

It would be minimal yes. I turn mine off when not in use anyway, but if you left them on, no harm would come to them. Estimate? Nope I don't have an estimate. Plus maybe someone here might know if the spec is available.
