Guys, I have a problem with an XLR cable going into my XPA-1L. I was rearranging and upgrading some stuff and took the amps out to start organizing my setup. Well, I cannot get the XLR cable to come out of the one amp, other amp was no problem worked as it should. The release pushes in, but doesn't feel like its releasing and , the cable doesn't budge. Anyone have any experience with this or tips. I really don't want to break something off in the socket.

Not unusual with XLR cables. It’s going to be rather long winded if I try and go through the angles and tricks of manipulating the cable to get it to release. So the simplest explanation is to try them. For example, push the cable in, depress the release and then push the cable down, that’s the most common trick that works for me. I’d suggest having a close look another XLR cable and socket to make sure you understand exactly how the release works. If you have a very small diameter flat blade screw driver, then examin how to slip it in the socket to push the release itself. That’s a guaranteed to work method but it needs carefully thinking and execution.
If all else fails take the amp to your local pro audio shop, they will lots of experience with releasing stuck microphone cables.
Cheers Gary

I had that issue with an XPA-1L, I got the cable out but Emotiva had to send me a new board that the XLR connector is attached to and I replaced it myself.
