That seems fair. I will try to sell it for cheap. The buyer will either get a real deal or a doorstop.

I've been experiencing a similar issue to the OP for the last couple months. I haven't changed anything in the system for over a year, when I added an X-Box One. Just recently, once powered on, there is no audio or video. I cycle only the power of the UMC-200 once or twice and then things come back and operate normally from then on.
I'll keep an eye on things to see if it becomes more problematic or if other issues arise.

I signed up to this forum just to post my results with a UMC-200 I purchased used. I was having the exact same issue. I would power it on and get no video and no audio, power cycling the umc-200 into standby and back on would then produce video and audio and it would work normally. I would need to do this every time I used it. I also got dsp2 not match and osd not match when turning the unit on and off using the main switch on the back. I followed instructions on another topic here and replaced c18 and c19 and my umc-200 is now fully functional, no longer need to power cycle it to get audio and video, and no longer get the firmware errors when cycling main switch on back.

My '200 had the DSP loading error for the past few months, then progressed to HDMI sync dropping constantly and no sound, and finally stuck with the "Loading..." issue last weekend. My unit was delivered in April 2013 has the v3.0 power board, which appears to have an updated C19 compared to the v2.0 boards. So, I rolled the dice and replaced just the C18 capacitor with a 220uF 25V 105*C having the same physical dimensions, and it completely fixed the issue.

Do all the above comments apply to the UMC-100 as well?
