Which surrounds would be more appropriate?

I am looking for some recommendations on which surround speaker would be better in my situation. I'm remodeling my media room and replacing some of my speakers. My question is related to which surround speakers would be more appropriate for my room. I am considering either the E1 or E2 models. I am including a layout of my room. The red squares represent the approximate location of the side surrounds that I am concerned with.

This room is a bonus room over a garage so the actual side walls are only about 4 feet tall before they start sloping up to the ceiling.

Also shown are some blue circles which represent some planned ceiling mounted surrounds.

Can anyone tell me if, in this particular room, would I receive any benefit from the E2 speakers with them being so close to the rear wall on the left side?

Any other suggestions?

One thing is you would need those to be parallel with the couch if you are looking for sides to make it 7 channels, your ceilings would act as rears and those would be you side backs.

I would go with the E1 and mount it even with the couch, as creimes has suggested. The E2 has a diffuse design no longer recommended for discrete audio codecs. I assume you have a center channel?

creimes, Yes, I really haven't decided on how far back the couch will be so the position in the drawing is just notional at this time. I figured the side surrounds would need to be perpendicular to the couch if using the E1s but wasn't sure if using the E2s.

mgbpuff, Yes, I have a center channel. It is just not pictured in my drawing. I currently have a 5.1 setup but want to change to 7.1.
