I have a sonic orbiter i5 and Sonore Signature Rendu (connected via ethernet to a dedicated router) I'm using an iPad mini as a Roon controller.
It says to select output #6 on the Rendu which I can do but when I pull up Spotify on my iPad it plays through the iPad. I also use Tidal which sounds great but want to be able to use Spotify as well. Thanks for helping a streaming noob here Scott

In the Spotify app, press the sound icon and select the Rendu (if it is available and configured). This image may be outdated but I think it is still relevant (found it online). Mode switcher:

Spotify Connect is REALLY cool in that it is sort of like the Roon endpoint concept.
Tons of streamers, integrated amps, AVRs, wireless speakers are Spotify Connect capable.
The Rendu, as long as it is in the correct mode, should appear as a Spotify Connect device.

Not sure if it matters but my DAC is set to home theater bypass and not USB that the Sonore uses.
Thanks for the help guys! Scott

I thought so. There are some ways I read you can use Spotify with Room, but what Loop7 says seems more direct. I would try that first. Mark

That is likely it. If a Sonore product is not connected to a DAC/seeing it, it will not appear as an endpoint. I had that issue once and realized my DAC's power was off. Mark

klinemj - from what I know, Roon and Spotify were working on an integration and Spotify pulled out of the partnership (according to a post in the Roon Community). As far as I know, there is no way to add a Spotify account in Roon but, if I am incorrect, please let me know on this.

This is my understanding as well but on the Sonore web page they address that it is Spotify ready by using output 6.
Only problem is my Spotify GUI looks different than the screen shot you posted. There is no button that looks like that one. Going to dinner and post up more when we're done. Thanks for the help guys!

Super dumb question. You are a Spotify premium subscriber ? Correct ? Spotify free won’t work. At least it wouldn’t in my system.

That's my understanding of well...Spotify can't be added in as an option within Roon "directly". But, there is a back door way I read about...involves using a software like "Stream What you Hear", and then setting up what looks to Roon like a station on Roon Radio. Then it plays through that. I tried SWYH for another reason and it had its pros and cons. So, if it can work Spotify direct to the rendu, that's the best. Mark

simpleman68 -- The interface can be different depending on platform. Does this video make more sense for finding the devices?
