It’s happening! I hope 🤞 An RMC-1 is on its way to me. Everything seems to be coming together quickly. So now the question, where the heck is the proper placement for the four ceiling speakers? I’ve read my share of articles but would like to trust my friends here and ask where y’all have gotten the best results from those speakers. My room as viewed in this poor diagram is 12’6” deep by 16’ wide and 8’ high there are added absorbers in the room but I haven’t included their placement.

I may be off here but you can get suggestions for placement all day long. But unless we know how your room is laid out, we’d be shooting in the dark. Room dimensions. Seating position in the room. Where the other 7 speakers are positioned.

I would keep them inline with your front speakers. Then you can pick where you want them in front and behind you as like emofrmcgy said you will get a bunch of suggestions.

What ceiling speakers are most using these days? I know the RSL C34E was pretty hot when Atmos started, but is their an alternative that people are finding? Looking to save a little $$, but not at the expense of good sound quality.

Looking to save a little $$, but not at the expense of good sound quality. I use the Micca M-8C found HERE. I'm usually fairly picky, but considering their cost and what they're being used for, I couldn't be more pleased with them. They actually do punch way above what their price would imply. And FWIW, the buyer's review are pretty accurate...

Nick, check out this video. He is an acquaintance from a Facebook Home Theater group I belonged. The information is great and if you can come as close as possible to the recommended distances you will be happy. My speaker placement was only off by a foot or so on my sides and back surrounds but following these calculations made a huge difference for my imaging. Hope it helps. youtu.be/BaVLWAZnag8
