I have a passive subwoofer set up and my sub amp has started to pop upon turning on and off... this happens with the signal detection and trigger input... tried changing out RCA cables to no avail... any advice? This only recently happened, so I can't quite make sense of why it started to occur...

Call POLK and get the schematic. Take the sub to a good tech. I see many issues with the turn-on circuit. Not just polk, so I'm not picking on them, but even BOSE and several others.

Do you turn the amp off first or the Pre-amp?
It may sound stupid but many, many people do the 'ON' sequence: Pre, Source and finally amp. The 'OFF' sequence is opposite i.e. Amp, source then Pre. One of my systems is picky about this and will pop thru the speakers if done any other way. I suspect the Pre as it is a modified unit.

My power conditioner has a time-dely feature on some outlets for just that purpose. Unfortunately, it would appear that is not part of the daisy-chain of triggers. My amps stake a few seconds to turn on AFTER pre, using the on-sense feature of my Parasounds. Sub is same.
