Update:
First, a gracious thank you for the quick replies to Rich Guy and Gary Cook.
Prior to the opening thread, I looked at the troubleshooting section in the
manual and I reset the AC power on/off switch but this didn't help. I used
the above suggestions and I swapped out the Emotiva balanced cables(while
the power was off on all the units) and still the problem existed. Next,I checked
the speaker cables. The left speaker looked okay but the right speaker pin connectors
were touching ever so slightly. As soon as I reconnected them so that they were
more secure, I powered up the units and the problem was solved. We have a small female
cat named Cannoli who plays with her toys and occasionally she gets behind the speakers.
But enough of this conjecture, I should of sheathed the pin connectors when I installed
them last August and when I thought of it then.
