Bought this mono amplifiers couple of years ago, now they are out of production and removed from emotiva website. While its not hard to find specs, pictures and etc I cant find the audio precision tests for XPA-1L together with other gen2 amps. Does anybody saved that pdf files or knowing where to get them?
Previously on website there was such section with links:

Previously on website there was such section with links: Here ya go, click on the Resources Tab for the pdf, it's slow but it will load the info web.archive.org/web/20151006103110/http://emotiva.com:80/products/amplifiers/xpa-1l

OK, now that the AP stuff is out there, what does it all mean? Anybody? Any measure say how well it does or doesn't sound?
When I went thru an upgrade cycle in about '13, I briefly considered a quad of the XP1L for my panels.

I was searching for that measurements only to compare with meas of another amps. But measurements are only measurements, they can tell some things but wont tell how it will sound.

I sympathize with you. Once I hung on every available measure. These days? I look at just a few, mainly on speakers. Amps? I'm resigned to the power numbers being if not a lie, than certainly misleading. Amps are measured into a resistor, something they NEVER see in 'real life'. All speakers are a mixture of capacitance and inductance, and even than it varies by frequency, where even the impedance is up and down.....Impedance is basically 'resistance at a frequency'..... 2 amps which measure nearly the same into a resistor will frequently vary wildly in the ability to drive a real speaker....and that's what really matters. So while I do enjoy reading thru some of that stuff, I must also discard most of it as a form of advertising. I must admit, however that I DO enjoy looking at square wave response, usually the 10khz 'picture'. This tells me a few things about bandwidth of response and how 'fast' the amp is.
