Dynamic range - The range of acceptable or possible volumes of sound occurring in the course of a piece of music or a performance. the ratio of the largest to the smallest intensity of sound that can be reliably transmitted or reproduced by a particular sound system, measured in decibels.
So what exactly are you looking for? Specs? Because this isn't something you can adjust in electronics, it is designed in.

How do I change the dynamic range on my mc-700? Would "Midnight Mode" be what you are looking for? Check page 19 of the BasX MC-700 user manual.

How do I change the dynamic range on my mc-700? Would "Midnight Mode" be what you are looking for? Check page 19 of the BasX MC-700 user manual. This IS the answer! (I forgot about this feature) It's been a long time since I gave any thought to Midnight Mode, nor do I have any use for it in my situation (The XMC also has the feature) to squash dynamics for late night listening. (Sorry about the flux capacitor)! Bill There's another way to pull this off (if only for a designated source) A number of disc players have this option feature built into their setup menus. Of course, the attenuation would only be running on that source. Bill
