Sound wise, I have owned both but not at the same time, doubt you could ever tell a difference sound wise, UPA-1's were my first foray into better audio and I should have kept them  Chad |

UPA-1 & 2 were some of the best basic amps ever from Emotiva. I just bought another used UPA-2 locally as a back up. It's probably 6-7 years old but that's OK. Great amps!!
