Hi Folks!
All my questions belong in the stoopid zone!!
Here goes:
How do I add the Emotiva gear USP1 and UPA 2 to my Denon x4200w.
Using pre outs or something like that?
Due to space Im only running everything 2 channel.
Should I expect to hear any difference in sound quality?
Would I be better using the Emotivas somewhere else in the house.
Please, if you are going to reply, pretend you are describing the connections to a seven year old child!!
Many thanks,
A.

Use the RCA preamp out jacks from the Denon to the home theater bypass. The output jacks on the USP-1 will run to the inputs on the UPA-2. Read carefully which jacks to input to the USP-1, there are several options. Using the HT inputs will restrict your 2 channel listening, you will need to use the crossover built into the USP-1, you will need to use a sub to fill out the stereo listening. The XSP-1 does not have this restriction and is IMO a much better choice when using the HT bypass connections. When used as a stand-alone unit the USP-1 is every bit as good as any preamp I've ever owned.
You'll probably have more questions. If you have the manual for the USP-1 read the section on how to connect everything up when used in a HT setup.
