Monprice has the new HTP-1 16 Channel Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Auro3D Home Theater Processor w/Dirac & Alexa Compatibility pre/pro in "dirac" competition with Emo RMC. $3999, more than XMC-2, less than RMC-1 www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=37887

Wow. They are even promising HDMI 2.1 upgradability. Hmmm who designed this?! I see it's not ready yet. Coming June. Well I'll believe they got all that running when I see it

ETA delivery date is 06/2019. Time is ticking for Emotiva to get it right with the RMC-1.

This machine has impressive features - Dirac Live (I'm betting 2.0), Roon endpoint....

This machine has impressive features - Dirac Live (I'm betting 2.0), Roon endpoint.... The RMC-1 still will sound better (on par with Trinnov) because of the fully differential channel design but as a unit for the masses Monoprice is about to disrupt the industry yet again. ATI is producing it in house with engineering from Theta digital (think Trinnov wannabe) and semi modular to allow for an upgrade path to future HDMI updates. This is my planned go to piece for all my future install design proposals.

Are there any HDMI 2.1 chip sets around at the moment, meaning is there any reason that the RMC cant be ordered with HDMI 2.1?
I'm just thinking future prof instead of sending the RMC back for an upgrade.

It’s nice to have alternatives.
I’ll still see how Emotiva does with the XMC-2 but at least I understand why Lonnie asked about OSD.

Nice! It'll match the T1/T2 stealth look.

Of course it's subjective, but that is an ugly looking piece of gear. IMHO, YMMV :-)

There must be some Beta products out, saw some discussions on the unit somewhere- why I checked out their site. It is ugally.. Would it be balanced xlr outputs & not differential @ $4k.? It is going to have the new version Dirac Live We do have to thank Emotiva for bringing Dirac integrated to the States..
