A poor man's Klipsch? I have no Idea - never had one or heard one, but for some reason, going way back into the 70's I developed a low regard for that brand, probably not justified, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy it. BIC used to be a mainstay of the old DAK organization - remember that flyer that came in the mail that made all kinds of wild claims about the magnificence of any item they were selling?

What are your thoughts on a imaginary shootout between the PL-980 and the Emotiva T2. Who's the winner??

I can't answer that question, but if I were spending my money on one or the other, I would go with the T2. It's had good reviews.
