I've long dismissed wireless headphones, perhaps unfairly, because generally it's my experience that wireless anything usually sucks more than the wired version. Ethernet vs WiFi, wireless mice etc etc, usually interference issues, reduced quality and/or bandwidth.
Anyway, I have a pair of wired Sennheiser HD 569. They sound good to me; nothing terribly fancy, but pretty clear, voices are front and center, bass is tight, and treble is clear but not accentuated or harsh, just the way I like it.
The one problem is, the wire is driving me nuts. I've ended up using these several hours a day for the last few months, and it's getting to be annoying.
So basically I'd prefer something that sounds as good as, or better, than the HD 569's right now, only wireless instead. I've tested the Sennheiser bluetooth options (4.5, 4.3) but they do not sound nearly as clear all around. I tested the wireless Sennheiser HDR 165 (uses RF, not bluetooth), but the voices/midrange is not quite as good as the HD 569. I don't think the bass is either.
So my requirements are: - wireless (bluetooth or RF is fine) - equivalent or better in sound than my HD 569, keeping in mind that I seem to like that "sennheiser house sound", whatever that may be - large "over ear" design like the HD 569 or HDR 165; no ear buds, "on ear", or "small over ears that don't quite sit fully over the ear - budget is about $350 CAD, if there is something slightly higher I will consider it, but that's what I'm aiming for
Additional preference but not required - closed back
Any ideas?

Looks like you are looking for some pretty good sounding wireless headphones. I would steer away from V-Moda as I felt the bass was too much and the voices too recessed. I used this: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075VLWPXF/$60. It sounded fine, nothing offensive. But I don't know if I would consider it as "great" or near your Sennheisers. You sort of get what you pay for. Bought for my wife for tv watching.

Thanks for your comments! I might have to give the HDR 165's more time; I bought them last night, and they don't sound as good as the cheaper wired 569's, but maybe they just need time to break in?
The problem with many headphones (the ones you listed on amazon too) is comfort. I don't have big ears, at all, but I prefer to have the padding go fully over my ear as opposed to sitting on top. That requirement by itself seems to knock so many good headphones out of the running, but it's not a requirement I can skip if I want to use them for more than 1 hour a day, which I do.

Yes those headphones I listed don't quite feel like they go fully over the ear - at least not like my HD600's do.
