What is the point of the XPA HC-1 High Current Monoblock if they can be joined together to make a two channel, just asking. Separate power supplies and the ability to place each next to its associated speaker if desired. So the only advantage is separate power supply?

The RMC-1L being fully balanced for all channels has been confirmed. The XMC-2 is fully balanced for the front 3 but it’s also 9.1.6. That was new info. Hopefully it’ll be released summer-fall 2019. xmc-2 fully balanced front 3 and sub according to lonnie and dan this weekend. btw.... had a great time at axpona nick. thanks for the great time.

What changes between a T2 and a T2+? Mark Upgrade to the crossover, the "cut out" design is going away so it will match the Airmotiv T-Zero, and adding the outriggers. Adaboy will be ecstatic. As will many others, I'm sure.

I believe it is tentatively priced at $799 Is this fully balanced (quad differential) like the DR-1 or a single wide module? single wide module but with the 3kV massive power supply. 900 watts into 2 ohms if my faulty memory serves me correctly.

Thanks my friends Umc2 is coming (as soon it is available).Put me on the list after the bojos before me lol Mel Your signature and original post say that you have a UMC-1. That is not the processor we're talking about here. You have to have an XMC-1 to qualify for the upgrade to the XMC-2. The UMC-1 was a completely different (lower) level of product that has been replaced a couple times over now. And a UMC-2 does not exist.

I sure hope not - Rich Sure hope so. 😋 It's hard to get exited about obtaining sound that is provably inaudible. Ultrasonics can induce instability in the playback system but will NEVER directly be heard. Just as ultra violet cannot be seen. This is undeniable. For HD Audio, it is possible to pass an ABX test comparing a 96kHz and 44 kHz version. For this to occur, science tells us that the sound must be different in the Audible range. Why, because it was heard! The only thing that could account for this is that the playback system introduced audible artifacts, distortions into the audible range. Not good. MQA reduces the sound quality of a track when not played on an MQA system, not good. I have bought SACD and HD Audio versions but for download convenience or when I the DR Database has data indicating a master with improved dynamic range. An audacity analysis of the Adele's Skyfall from HD Tracks 96/24 is attached. There is massive clipping little dynamic range and boatloads of unused bits. MQA processing into a 44.1 container is not going to fix these problems. It's like putting a band-aid on the doctor treating the patient with a heart attack. What we should be clamoring for is HDR Audio, sources with better dynamic range. The good news is that HDR Audio can be delivered in CD quality 44.1, without degradation. To be fair, MQA includes custom filters which some may prefer. I'd much rather see Roon available on the XMC-2 and RMC platforms. - Rich Attachments:

So... something I hadn't considered. These puppies are XLR out only (at least the picture of the XMC-2 is). I have no desire to "upgrade" my venerable MPS-2 power amp (RCA inputs) to something newer that has XLR in, so I guess when I'm ready to try out Atmos in a new processor (5.1.2) I'll have to get one of those conversion cables, XLR to RCA. Not my favorite idea.
And now we see why the T2's have dropped in price! Been on the fence for a long time, since my Vandersteen 3A sigs are still pumping fine after about 20 years. Having compared them to Stealth's when I got them, I can hear more clarity on the Emo's, and "presume" the similar folded ribbon tweeters of a T2 would perform similarly. I actually use a C1 as center now with the Vandy's
I wonder how "subtle" the differences are between the T2 and T2+ ?

both lonnie and dan said the changes are very subtle. small changes to the xover to smooth out treble and cosmetic changes to the cabinet to make more WAF friendly. and to match the T-0's. tchaik........

I’d have another look at your Mps-2. Mine had xlr inputs.

I am not sure what else is different internally. the external differences can be seen on front and back. I think, but I am not sure, that the xmc has only 1 oled screen while the rmc's have 2 and the back inputs and outputs (rca's) reflect better hardware on the rmc's.
