Any chance Emotiva will manufacture an XPA-DR8 (full differentially balanced 8 Channel amp for the surround and heights on a 7.2.4 arrangement? A XPA-DR3 and XPA-DR8 May actually pull me out of the Mono-Block society

A XPA-DR3 and XPA-DR8 May actually pull me out of the Mono-Block society Not likely unless they come up with a different blade. The current DR blades occupy two slots in the XPA-G3 chassis. |

Maybe dual XPA-DR4’s then? But, sounds like that might not be possible either

We are only able to fit 3 DR modules per chassis. You could just get 2 DR-3s and a DR-2  |

Well, my guess is that the Original Poster was probably talking about an 8-Channel Differential Reference set of Amplifier Blades that produce considerably less power than the current XPA-DR Blades.
It sort of "makes sense" when you have the RMC-1 and RMC-1L which are fully differential on all 16 Channels. You'd like to propagate that Fully Differential all the way out through the Amplifiers, but 300Watts/Channel @ 8Ω would be silly for surrounds ... well, maybe a little more silly that the 16 Fully Differential Channels that we started with, but they started it first!

I was indeed thinking of the RMC-1L and a fully DR balanced 8 channel amp for surround and height speaker duty (small speakers) to end up with a completely DR balanced system. In a perfect Emotiva world, with 2 amps (XPA-DR3 for the main and center then a XPA-DR8 if it were possible, to drive surrounds and height speakers.

I think a fully balanced alternative would be a DR3 and a separate new chassis holding 8 PA1 Monoblocks  No extra r#d just some enclosure fabrication . If they can manage 15ch ? of pascal ice d's in the XMR1 chassis ; a design starts there  |
