Hi all, i tried a Emotiva XPA Gen3 11 last year and it had a pop/static sound in the speakers, when the amp was turn on and my wife with hearing aid, was very annoyed with it and we returned it to the distributor.
But I now want to buy the RMC-1 and want to use Emotiva amps to drive the 9.1.6 setup and was wondering if it was normal that the anp did that or ?? I has mailed with Emotiva support and they say it not a normal complaint they got on these amps.

What processor are you using? Seems like several of us using Marantz processors have run into this issue. To fix it it seems like if you change which trigger output you are using it can get rid of the issue.

I have an RMC-1 with the 'turn on' volume set to -50dB, the RMC-1 triggers turn on two XPA Gen3 DR-1s and an XPA Gen3 THIRTEEN 1.6s. I just now turned the RMC-1 ON and other than the amplifier's relays audible click, the amplifiers are silent on power-up.

I have an XPA-5 and the only sound at power up is the relays. If you are getting speaker sound, its coming from the source. Power the amp up by itself and see if the results change.

I have tried to power only with the amp and speakers, its like a click/static in the speakers just after the relays. I dont have that problem with my old Marantz 7055 and 8077 amps, they are dead silent.
