We have discovered an obscure but serious bug in some older XMC-1 firmware .
THIS ONLY SPECIFICALLY APPLIES TO XMC-1 OWNERS WHO HAVE THE HDMI 2.0b BOARD... THIS ONLY SPECIFICALLY APPLIES TO USERS WHO ARE RUNNING FIRMWARE VERSIONS BETWEEN v5.2 and v5.7...
This bug will only affect a small percentage of XMC-1 users (and only if you have your XMC-1 configured for 2.x channels). However, if you encounter it, it may cause your XMC-1 to fail to restart if it is rebooted. If this happens, your XMC-1 may require a trip to the factory to be re-flashed. We STRONGLY recommend that anyone who has an XMC-1 with Firmware between v5.2 and v5.7 on it IMMEDIATELY update to the current Firmware Version.
