I am curious if other XPR series amplifier owners experienced switch failure. I own two XPR-2 amplifiers and last year all the front panel switches failed on my one older amplifier. Cutting one of the switches open, I found extreme corrosion of the contacts. Today, I discovered my other amplifier exhibits the same failure (I normally use a trigger cable from one to the other so do not normally activate the power button}. After replacing all switches it works fine but this failure should not happen in only a few years. The amplifiers do sound nice in my biamped system.

That happened to one of my XPR-1’s. I didn’t notice until I tried to turn it on using the front panel. It went to Franklin under warranty.
