Finally got my hands on a DC-1.......hooked it up to a XPA-3 and a cd player via optical line.....sounds awesome. So, I then thought ( which is usually the problem ) I could hook up a tuner to the analog input , no bueno.....got zippo. Am I wrong in thinking a tuner is a line level type item I could use in the analog input.....manual says "legacy" type equipment....whatever that might mean. At least the Music Hall CD player sounds awesome thru the DC-1, so I got that goin' for me, which is nice

No, you’re right, a tuner line out should work into the analog input. Have you tested the tuner anywhere else to be sure it works, also do you hear the relay click when you switch to analog on the DC-1?

The tuner is in use with my XSP-1......I just moved the rca's over to the DC-1.....and was working just fine with the XSP. I'll try again after work today and see if I hear a click when I select analog..... I did reach out to the seller but have not gotten a reply from him. I see by the shipping box the DC-1 was sent back to Emo for service at some point, and he also claims it's still under warranty until Nov 2019......so we shall see.

Make sure he transfers the warranty to you, he must do it, you can’t. As another test, does your CD player have analog outs? (though sounds like the tuner should work)

That was one of the reasons I was reaching out to the original owner, he's member on here....so hopefully he responds. Great idea on the analog outs on the player, if I was thinking clearly last night I should have done that, I will give that a shot after work...Thanks!

Every tuner I've seen so far puts out a standard, stereo, line level, analog signal, which should work fine with the analog input on the DC-1. (It's certainly possible that a modern tuner could have a digital output - but I've never seen one.) (Note that some tuners also have an output volume control - which could be turned down.)
You could double-check that the input itself is OK by connecting the analog output of your CD player to it. (And make sure you've got the correct ANALOG INPUT connectors on the DC-1 - the unbalanced analog OUTPUTS are right next to the inputs and it's easy to plug into the wrong ones by mistake).

That may be it right there. They are very easy to get mixed up
