XMC-1 Remote Control Codes

I deeply apologize if this has been repeatedly answered.
I purchased an XMC-1 about a year ago.
Yesterday I finally got around to programming my XMC into my remote. For some reason, the remote control doesn't recognize and is unable to learn the XMC codes.
My remote is a Pronto TSU3000.
The remote works fine. I successfully programmed my new Panasonic UB820. My new JVC RS540.
But for some reason, the remote control is unable to program XMC codes.
Any help or advice would be appreciated...!
