Hey gang!
Loving my XPA1 gen2's! i feel like I'm barley pushing them. I am currently running Klipsch rf7ii. i would like to run a pair of rc64ii in series or parallel of the xpa1. What are your thoughts?

Why would you want to do this?

reinforce Sq for second row of seating and higher output with less distortion. Also hoping it rounds out a mid-gap. plus it will look freaking amazing.

The RC-64 II center channel is rated at a nominal 8-ohms, so you should be able to run 2 in parallel on one amplifier channel. Try one below and one above your screen.

I used to run dual centers above and below the screen, loved the phantom image (mostly dialog) coming right out of the center of the picture.

I used to run dual centers above and below the screen, loved the phantom image (mostly dialog) coming right out of the center of the picture. I still run a pair of centers, on the same plane as one. The “dreaded” combing effect of tweeters in my configuration is bad on paper, but in practical application in my setup it works out beautifully. The dispersion characteristics of tweeters vary, so I find you have to put it to the listening test to draw a conclusion. My centers are below nominal 6ohm, so series is less load to the amp., though mine could handle parallel, especially considering I’m at the “small” setting and 80hz. Bill
