Ordered the newest SkyStream III Plus steaming android. $125
The spec looked good-
CPU: AMLogic S905X2 quad core ARM Cortex-A53 @ up to 2.0 GHz
GPU: Mali-G31 - A55 ARM Cortex 650 MHz delivering 1.3 Gpix/s
DRAM: 4GB DDR4
Flash Memory: 64GB
Bluetooth: 4.1, USB 3.0
2 remotes, one an Air Mouse.
Checked out reviews on youtube, forums, etc. all favorable. Nice GUI, so much potential.
Big disappointment
Apps don't work properly,
Facebook support has a "page monitor" who approves or rejects questions, could take days to get them "approved". The person has an attitude, seems they have a 'bad day' every day.
They have a "Chat" link- waited over 45 minutes for someone to reply. waiting...
I went to their website that has "How to" videos- none of them play.
Have not called phone support because if support is anything like the FB monitor, I'ld just tell them where to stick it. Am I unhappy with them so far, guess so.
Waiting on an email on how to return it.
I bought Roku 4200x a while back and it just works. Replaced the remote because it was unresponsive at times but even the new one can be temperamental.
I've been waiting on their new 2019 Ultra that was supposed to be out in June, so gave the SS3+ a shot. My wife wants to shoot it. (she's far from stupid, knows computers well) I heard her cussing this weekend trying to use it. lol, (she doesn't cuss often) I didn't ask what the problem was when she came into the kitchen, just got a "Send that damn thing back."
