Hello, all. I'm about do ditch my big old Onkyo NR-5008 in favor of the UMC-1 (plus MiniDSP with dirac ), since I only use two speakers and one sub, all of them being powered/active.
I want to make sure if the UMC-1 can downmix DTS/Dolby Digital tracks to stereo whilst sending the LFE track separately to my sub (which my Onkyo does if I simply assign "NONE" to center and surround, while leaving the sub enabled)
The sole reason for which I'm not getting a stereo pre/pro is because I really want to preserve the LFE track, since the standard stereo downmixing usually discard the LFE info or just sums them on the main L/R output.
Thank you in advance.

It was my experience that the UMC-1 wasn't suitable for anything. YMMV

The UMC-1 can do that.
