Hi all, hoping for some advice. I'm looking to get a receiver for my living room. I'll only be doing 2.1, with a raspberry pi and a Fire Stick connected to a TCL 5 series TV. Energy RC70 towers. Was originally looking to get the Emo, but found a used Arcam AVR360 locally for $275. I was quite happy with my old UMC200/XPA5 for the theater room. I know Arcam is a well thought of brand though, but have never heard one. Any input as to which would be the better direction to go?

Both are good companies, but for what little difference there is in price if it were me I would go with the TA-100 which will have 5 years of warranty. Its unlikely, but you never know, that anyone here has made such a direct comparison. I've owned a number of Arcam products, never had any issues with them and they all performed very well. I have the TA-100 in my studio it has been a great component handily outperforming what it replaced that cost about 4 times the price of the Emotiva. The only thing I don't like about the TA-100 is the FM tuner which is a major PITA to program and setup. Not sure what the company was thinking about on this.

The warranty is a good point, didn't think of that. The tuner is an issue, but more because I like AM still. Online sent Bluetooth to the receiver isn't the same. It needs that crackle and fuzz haha. From what I've been reading, the Arcam is phenomenal with music, but not too good with video processing. That wouldn't matter much though as I plan on just running audio out from the TV to receiver.

I use this device because my DC_1 dac does not have HDMI or 4k capability. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RZ5MC1D/Works just fine and allows me to get audio from an HDR 4k HDMI connection. I think the PT-100 (which I assume hte TA-100 is similar) sounds better than the UMC-200 for two channel.

I ended up getting the Arcam for $200. It was a no-brainer at that price. Very happy with it so far. With all of the analog video inputs, eventually this will be for my old school video game room. At that time, I'll most likely get whatever new model Emo has out by then. Thanks for the advice.
