I am not totally sure if this is the MC-700, but I have an issue where I don't always get a signal when switching to an input. Here is my rambling tale and what I think might be going on
Equipment:
-NVidia Shield TV -MC-700 - TCL 55P605
Connections:
Shield -> MC-700 on HDMI 1 with a Monoprice Certified Premium HDMI Cable - 6 Feet - Black, 4K@60Hz, HDR, 18Gbps, 28AWG, YUV 4:4:4, Dual Video Stream (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GCGKI3O/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
MC-700 -> TCL ARC HDMI port (I think it is HDMI 2) with a Monoprice High Speed HDMI Cable - 15 Feet - Black, 4K @ 60Hz, HDR, 18Gbps, 34AWG, YUV 4:4:4, CL2 - DynamicView (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019FN6GIW/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
When I tell my TCL to auto-select the HDMI version on my ARC input the video signal works just fine, but usually defaults to HDMI 1.4. When I force the TV to only use 2.0 (which is what I want), I have to switch on and off of the input until it works. When connecting the Shield directly to the TV with the input to only use 2.0 it always works. Could this be the MC-700 having an issue with the handshake between to the 2 devices? Anything I might be forgetting about or recommendations?

ARC (and its brother CRC) are the devils work, turn them off and see if the problem still exists.
