So far, I switch these speakers on whenever I need to use them, and off, as soon as I am done. Sometimes that routine seems like a PITA, especially when it has to be repeated several times a day. It is making me wonder what would happen, were I to change habits and leave them on 24/7, as I do my Yggy DAC, for example. I think the best option would probably have been one of those standby functionalities that the XMC-1 and all the Emo amps have...
But my main question is whether there is a downside to leaving one's Airmotivs studio monitors on all the time, from the viewpoint of their possible durability and/or wear and tear.

An alternative would be to use a Smart Plug. I have several Amazon branded Smart Plugs and use my Echo Dot to tell Alexa to turn them on/off. Easy peasy.

I used to own the Stealth 8's and I left them on all the time. I've been using the Airmotiv 4's for several years also, and they're always on. Never have had any problems.

This can also be just one of the benefits of a nice power conditioner, the ability to shut off power to selected components when the system shuts down. With many power conditioners you can select which components will have the power shut OFF, stay ON or turn ON with delays when the power conditioner turns ON/OFF with your system.
But as has been already said your Airmotiv 6s should be fine left ON.

I just mentioned in another thread one of my Airmotive 5s has a failing capacitor; whether leaving it early in its life, or turning it on and off later in its life ‘encouraged’ this to happen, I don’t know. Since I use my new AM 5S with my desktop Mac-mini, I’m considering a UPS with a group outlet. This would protect all of the equipment and allow me to turn off the DC-1 and AM-5S separately — like RichGuy ’s conditioner solution, which I also like. Unfortunately UPS’ with group outlets are expensive, but I don’t like leaving stuff on and this combo draws over 100 watts at idle.
