So....the XSP-1 is doing the relay click and then shuts off......try again, click....goes off. Now it has developed to where I have to cycle the main power switch in the back to get the amber colored light to come on.....I push the button, click.....then off. It took me 23 cycles of playing this game before the damn thing finally turned on.
My concern is, it's not under warranty.....I do have the original boxing, but is it going to cost several hundreds to fix.....will this problem eventually come back......I think I now know why the dude was selling on Audiogon for only $500 bucks that I paid.
When it works it sounds great....it's just not reliable enough. I could just leave it powered on 24-7.....but I don't like leaving stuff on when I'm out of town for days at a time.
Has anyone else had a repair done for this powering on clicky thing.?? and if so, what, did it run you $$$ for repair?
Luckily I have a DC-1 as a backup.....
Thanks!
Scotty

No I have not.....if a fuse was bad / blown.......would it even power up at all?? Don’t know, but it is worth checking just in case. Maybe one fuse is blown and the other is OK, not sure what affect that would have. Cheers Gary

I just had mine repaired under warranty for this exact issue. The service completed email said: Our service technician found the following issue: Replaced c5 on power supply . Which I assumed to be a bad capacitor. Hope this helps, Dave
