I’m trying to get the remote control app on my phone to work but not having any success. Doesn’t respond to anything. Not sure if it’s properly connected to my internet. Is there a way to check the IP address? Most computer components find the address and link up. I think the address is the correct one being that I haven’t changed any of the numbers. What can I try to get this to work?

Then unplug the ethernet cable from the rear of it and the router. Wait a couple of minutes and plug the ethernet cable into a different port on the router, if you can. Then plug your prepro back in and boot it up. That should work. check and see if the DHCP IS Enabled. Hope this works, let us know.

What can I try to get this to work? Do you see “XMC-1” in the center of the first screen when you start the App? If not you likely have a connectivity problem, you can see the IP address in the setup, network area. I prefer using my router’s DHCP function to assign a reserved IP address for each device if you’re comfortable doing that. Then you know the addresses of all your equipment, usually devices and Apps are more reliable if their addresses don’t change.

When I try to use this app, XMC1 locks up completely and I need to powercycle it using the switch in the back. Not sure if thats really worth the trouble...

I do see the XMC-1 when I load the app. As for the switch in the back, not sure what that is. I will have to wait and reboot everything when I can see an onscreen menu due to the fact that my bulb in the projector blew out. I am reading all of these ideas and will try to figure something out.

I used the app successfully with a iPhone 10S (XS). I upgraded to an iPhone 12 Pro, and it no longer works at all. Has anyone fond a way to get it to work with the 12 Pro? Is there an upgrade in the works?
