I'm getting ready to build a BOSS platform, which is essential a giant tactile transducer my couch will sit on. I use Dirac to calibrate my room. Is there any way to have the xmc-1 put out a flat, uncorrected signal to the second sub output? If I run the subs in stereo mode, does that give me any flexibility to correct just one sub's output?

Don’t think there’s a way to get an uncorrected output from any of the main or sub outs. You could use the Z1 ‘Mix Out’, which wouldn’t have an HP filter, but would be uncorrected, and track with the volume control.

I can't really remember but couldn't he use Dirac full, move the curtains so the usable passband is covered on the output being used for the platform.

Yes, that’s what I did. Some people say the lack of roll off on the mix out is desirable, but I haven’t tried that method.

Will it see the second sub out as a unique output and and allow me to create unique filters for that? I want the platform to get LFE and redirected bass, just like my subwoofers, but with no correction. I have Dirac full, so adjusting curtains/filters won't be a problem if that's possible.

So does "mix out" just output a full bandwidth signal (including LFE)? I have a minDSP, and plan to get a Behringer nx3000d to power the BOSS, so lack of HP filter wouldn't be a problem.

That’s a good question, never thought about LFE. I’d say, I think so, because it’s a mix down of the mains including surround formats, which include LFE. Just looked up in the manual, it says: “ Zone 1 Audio Output Provide a stereo unbalanced line level analog audio down-mix output for the Main Zone. The Volume setting on this output tracks with the Main Zone Volume setting.”
