Is there a Y splitter cable that will separate the power from the data signal?

iPhone data output to DAC and USB power input to iPhone. Interesting...never considered that. One way I am thinking of it is that I used to run USB out of my PC into my DAC, and that USB port provides power to my phone if I connect it. So, isn't it sending current to my DAC also as it send data? Or, is the DAC and USB out smart enough to know it shouldn't send both? Not sure... Mark |

It provides power to both the USB port and the Lightning plug. Perfect! I’ll insert the adapter Lightning plug into the iPhone, my AudioEngine D3 into the adapter USB port, and plug a Lightning charger into the adapter Lightning port.
