One of the things I like the most from the T2s are those AMT tweeters. It can be detailed and airy. Excellent in higher frequencies. Female vocals are to die for.
It seems to require more on-axis placement to get a stable center image compared to my image waveguide JBLs. But it's awesome once you get in that sweet spot.
What do you guys think?

Yes! It's one of the best speakers I've heard!

I've been spoiled by my Maggies, but the T2's are the "box" speaker I'd consider if I didn't have the Maggies. And, it's the tweeter, the mids, and the bass they do have is tight and solid.

AMT tweeters are among the best sounding, right up there with genuine ribbons. An excellent design choice from Emotiva. I use Mundorf or ESS AMTs or RAAL ribbons on my designs.

I’ve just set up my HT gear in the last couple of weekends. I have been testing the system and these little 6s monitor speakers, with those tweeters, are pretty awesome sounding in stereo. It is scary how the imaging puts the music in the dead center spot in front of my listening position. I have had to double check more than a couple of times to make sure there was no audio coming from my center channel speaker. I am very impressed.

I got some factory renewed Stealth 6s from the open house and got a chance to push them really hard this past weekend. I agree, those tweeters are amazingly smooth you can go as loud as you want without hearing any strain. My friend visiting was blown away. Seriously good speakers.

Hard to believe that anyone, including Emotiva can pull this much quality out of so little money. I have built speakers in the past, modified others and know what quality parts cost let alone the effort that goes into building and engineering the things. I've never heard any of them myself but all I hear is how impressive they are. If I had the room for a second pair of speakers I would just belly up to the bar and get a pair of the T2+. Given what everyone has to say about them who knows I might be unloading my Genesis 6.1's.

Well they are two different animals the JBL and the Emotiva. So their dispersion characteristics will no doubt be a total different bag either way. I had some Powered JBL monitors and loved the sound, but the tweeters get a bit for my taste a bit compressed and pushy, where the Airmotiv is just so smooth sailing. Image wise the latterly in my place they were close, even vertically they were still close. But yeah, you got to like any speaker you have invest the time and get the soundstage to couple correctly. No one is better or worse. Just different. Part of the fun I guess. I am spoiled by the Air Motion Tweeter. So much dynamics in these guys, the other dome types kind of leaving me wanting. Your ears will tell you where you are on this. I just dig the Air Motion Tweeter hands down.
