We've had quite a few requests for "a stereo preamp with Dirac Live room correction". We've also had lots of requests for "a high-end stereo preamp with digital inputs"
Consider this.....
Our XMC-1 is a really great 7.1 channel surround sound processor. But it's also a really great stereo preamp.
In Reference Stereo mode the XMC-1 delivers analog performance equal to what you might hope for from a good analog preamp in the $1000 - $2500 price range. And, in Stereo Mode, you get plenty of advanced processing, including multiple presets, and bass management, and separate 11 band manual parametric EQs on each channel.
And let's not forget plenty of analog and digital inputs... - including a high quality USB audio input - and actual Tone Controls - and a true Loudness option - and a nice display - and a remote control - and it works with REW (room EQ wizard) - and it works with Dirac Live automatic room correction (with the Certified Refurbished version you'll have to purchase Dirac Live separately for $100) - and, yeah, it also does surround sound (which means that you can use it to play surround sound stuff, in super quality, through your stereo setup)
And, with a certified Refurbished XMC-1.... you can have all that for $999 (at least for now).
If you've been looking for a stereo preamp with great sound quality and loads of advanced features... then this is probably it. Don't miss out!
Check it out here:
And, if you like vinyl, and want to add a great little phono preamp, you may want to consider our excellent little XPS-1 for $199:

I use an XMC-1 as a stereo pre-amp, and it's great.
I run it in Reference Stereo, BUT...I also run a sub with it (which isn't supposed to be possible, but it is).
I like DIRAC in multichannel, but I prefer Ref. Stereo without DIRAC for "2" channel.

Proof positive in letting you create as well as enjoy. I use the XMC-1 in proofing my work to share. It is not just about listening passively any more. It is about using my mixer coming in Balanced, it is about using the record in with my recording devices. The XMC-1 can be a creative assistance tool too and be very good at it. A twist allot of folks probably would not guess. Well, guess no more. I do this every day with the XMC-1 to have it help create and realize my next idea.

Music was the NUMBER ONE consideration when I purchased the XMC for music/Home Theater integration.
So, it just happens to be an awesome AV preamp (ha ha, I watch movies with it too!!)

Include the phono stage and Dirac for the $999 and I'll order one now.
