hoping to finalize my new media room set up.
With $1000 budget on subwoofer, I am considering either one Hsu VTF-15H MK2 ($1012) or two SVS PB12-NSD($2x $499 on sale now)
I keep hearing two subs are normally better than one, how true is that, how do I decide?
I plan to use Denon AVR-X6500H for 11.1 or 11.2 atmos set up, room is around 250 square feet. 60% movies, 40% music/concerts.
Please comments. Let me know if you need more information on my room or set up.
Thanks.

To me, I’ve always gotten the best results with a matched pair of subs. If you have room I’ll recommend a pair. Have fun!

Definitely pair them up. You wouldn’t purchase a single speaker expecting stereo image would you? Same goes for bass for the most part.
