XPA Seven-5-1S

Hi Everyone,

I just purchased a customized, XPA-5-1s.

I also just purchased a Marantz AV7705 to replace my Denon 3808A which I’ve been using since 2008.

The high powered output will be for my Axiom Audio M80(Fronts), VP150 (centre) and QS8’s(side surrounds). The stereo will be for the rear surrounds, QS4’s.

Next step will be to get the BasX A-500 to power the M3’s for 4 ATMOS and Top Surround for Auro 3D.

I like to do an upgrade once and let it satisfy me for 10yrs or more. Until the next upgrade bug hit me.

Can’t wait for them to arrive?

Will there an issue to use XLR for the high powered outputs and RCA for the stereo? I like how the XLR connectors looks and when with the Marantz. If there’s an issue, I’ll feel real sucky. Cos I would have gone for the Denon and A-700 & A-500.

Congrats on the new setup!  There will not be any issues at all.  I had an XPA-5 using XLR connections and an A-700 using RCA connections for a few years and it all worked well.

I just received the shipping notification. Getting excited for my first power amp. Based on the shipping advice, both my Marantz processor and amp will be arriving on the same. Birthday presents for myself. It will be a great birthday this year.
