Yesterday setup my 2.1 system in my home office. 12x15 (ish) room.
Review, from my son in the room above my office: "I was on the computer and my feet started vibrating!"
VERY Surprised w/ the output of this 8" PR sub. VERY happy to have built in X-overs (set to 80hz) feeding my B1+'s.
The whole system has surpassed my expectations. The sub is set to about 30% for music listening. Feeding it 80hz and below.
The imaging and sound of the B1's makes me happy.
I'm no audiophile, so sorry for the bare bones review. But for the money spent, the bang I'm getting for the buck is exactly what Emotiva advertised!

Yeah this is one hell of a sub. We have been using a few of the pre production models around the office for months and we are big fans.

I’ve been running one in my office for several months now and am currently using it to actively bi-amp my B&W 803’s, crossed over at 60Hz. Never ceases too bring a smile to my face!  |

Have you used it for any television and movie listening or with a home theater application. It shows. FR of 33 hz at -3 dB. I wonder if it would cover the low frequencies needed, as most recommend something that plays below 20 hz. Curious as the S10 is not available is it being replaced or updated? Also, the size of the S10 might not fit where I have the space. Setting up first H/T using T1s in front, C1, and TZeros in rear, needing subwoofer. Looking at REL, RYTHMIK, AND SVS brands, as well as Emotiva. Are there any other reviews on this new subwoofer?

gjr, I have not. I believe that as of today, the S10 is sold out due to holiday/year end blowout deals. Goodluck on your subwoofer quest. In your all Emotiva system, why get anything else! Wait on a restock on that S10!
I've watched some YouTube movie trailers on this system, and the base is VERY impressive.

Anyone use this sub for their main TV/Movie watching? Im currently upgrading my system from a Polk TSi Series, with the PSW10 sub. Based on specs, the s8 sub seems to be an upgrade.
