Need some assistance here. I am trying to determine the proper connections for my speakers on the back of the XMC-2. Page 94 of the manual raelly doesn't address anything beyond 7.1 very well. I'm aware that there are all kinds of preferred distances & angles for an optimized Atmos setup; my room is small and the conditions like most are less than optimal, so I've taken some liberties. I have what one might call a 5.1.6 or possibly a 7.1.4.
- JBL 4312s left & right front slightly toed in to the listening area,
- Mirage sub
- Emotiva C1 center channel,
- E2 surrounds mounted about 41" off the floor,
- 6 Mirage Nanosats mounted as follows:
The ceiling is sloped except on the wall by the screen where it flattens out for a couple of feet and I could relocate the front channels higher up from the wall to the ceiling if it made a difference.
That said, I am really looking for recommendations on which balanced outputs onthe XMC-2 to utilize for the 6 "overhead" channels or 8 if you include the E2s]. Also, when Dirac is available
, is there anything I'll need to know/do or will it assist me with the timing/distance etc I've chosen for the speakers so they work as well as they can [in DTS & Atmos] given their current mounting positions?
