Thinking of taking the plunge again into a new set of speakers. I've been eyeballing and reading reviews, while seriously considering Harbeth compact 7 or HL5 for a while. Recently discovered Wharfedale Lintons and really like the look along with the price. Many seem to make the comparison between them, Harbeth and Spendor. Looking for a larger set that satisfies like my Vienna Acoustics have for a while now, warm and very easy to listen to. They seem like an incredible value even if they sound half as good as they look. Anyone heard them? These speakers just came on my radar as well.
I think a local dealer has these on display. I'm going to try to go listen, but its probably not until February.

Only have about 40 hours on these.
The cabinets are definitely part of the sound. Piano music is so delicate.
Can hear and feel the cabinets.

I'd say not as dynamic as Tektons and not quite as warm as Vienna Acoustics but incredibly enjoyable. Great speakers, somewhere in-between,I'll know more as I keep playing them. |

I had a pair of their Jade 3s a few years back. They were the best bookshelves I've ever owned. They never failed to impress me with their bass output and near perfect vocals. I might check out their EVO 4.2s in the near future. |
