Is this possible? I know there is the USB input but the optical route is much more convenient . If using optical is not possible does anyone have recommendations? My computer sits 17 feet from the XMC-1. Is there a viable cable that could fit this bill or would i need to look into a purifier or something to clean up the usb signal since i may need to use a usb extender, as well.
Thank you.

+1 on a long optical cable. I have a different scenario bur similar enough - optical out from UMC-1 to a Pioneer AV for DA conversion and analogue out to a whole house audio controller. I got the optical cable from the mono place thing but about the same price as the one in Amazon.

Hmm. Any suggestions on why my PC does not see the XMC-1? I have a custom run BlueJeans cable and also another cable i was using prior to the XMC via optical. Both when connected - the PC does not see the unit. Am i missing something in settings?
AHHH! I Found out what happened. I had my digital out disabled on my computer. Thank you!!!! Sounds great!
