So....being lazy and not willing to search around, is the phono section of the XSP-1 preamp just the same as the XPS-1 phono preamp? I'm preparing to buy an XPS-1 phono thingy just incase the XSP-1 craps the bed, as my backup preamp has no phono. Thanks for any info from a more knowledgeable and not so lazy lounger.

Scott Yes and it's quite good. However, I believe the XPS-1 uses a different power supply to the XSP-1.

You're both right...
The phono preamp circuitry is the same... but the XPS-1 runs from a SMPS wall wart... (it also has its own internal regulation).

NEW PRODUCTS?
Are there any plans to replace some of the older products? The USP-1 and the XSP-1 pre amps are gone. Any plans to replace them? The Dac's, they're gone as well. Any new Dacs in the work? Something that can be a roon endpoint and play Tidal, and other streaming services?
Not that I am complaining, but a few years ago, one could built a complete Reference Stereo Emo system. It's quite hard to do that now. Emo was, and still is, pretty much the only affordable reference gear out there. Everything else is just astronomically expense.
Thanks.

The USP-1 has been gone 4-5 years now. I think the replacement (in Emotiva's mind) is the PT-100 preamp. Nice sounding preamp, but IMO not a replacement for the very good USP-1 And the XSP-1 was just axed from the lineup. We'll just have to see what pops up since Emotiva seems to keep new product info closer to the vest these days.
