Is it possible to use multiple outputs on the erc-3? I'd like to use the optical output to a Schiit Modi DAC and also use the RCA outputs, and go back and forth between the two, to compare sounds.

Yes this should not be a problem. Not going to hurt anything. Just make sure you match volumes when comparing the different devices.

I received the optical cable today in the mail. I found the internal erc 3 DAC sounds better than my Schiit modi.
