Dan, I would like to request that a strawberry Margarita be included among one of the 80 "smoothies." We can do that. There will be an 'adult smoothie' menu.

We could have, like 80 diffeent flavors, and we'd all wear matching outfits with hats and everything. I can see it now...

Lonnie, I just spoke with Dan L., and he gave me the thumbs up on my concept of shifting the company from audio based to smoothie based. 'Emotiva Fruit Smoothies'. What do you think? We could have, like 80 diffeent flavors, and we'd all wear matching outfits with hats and everything. Dan, since my girlfriend likes smoothies, may I suggest new Emo combos : Get 1 free smoothie per channel of amplification ! UPA-2 = 2 free smoothies XPA-3 = 3 free smoothies XPA-5 = 5 free smoothies or, Get 1 free smoothie per 100W RMS into 8 ohm ! Then I could get 10 free smoothies with my XPA-5

Well, it would appear that those are their two options right now. Obviously they would have liked to have had this to us a year ago when they originally thought they were going to be able to, but for a lot of reasons (some of which were outside their control), that didn't happen. Would you prefer that they start shipping products that they know have defects? ... I'm pretty sure you're going to get your wish with future products - they aren't going to even leak information on what they have coming up, ... C'mon jason do you really think anyone is advacating that the UMC1 be shipped with a known bug ? Besides whenever it ships it will have a potential bug because it's an electronic device (and a complicated one at that - per Lonnie). I think anyone in this hobby long enough understands the risk that there is a chance of a bug. Especially with all the features that are being thrown into a processor these days. But they are usually inconsequential. So you wait and update the firmware when it’s available. BFD. Until then you can’t listen to the left rear channel in Zone3 . So I don't really think there is any need to imply that Cary or Integra or Marantz or Rotel (or whatever) is somehow vastly different from Emotiva because they shipped a product with a "potential" bug. I'm sure the folks that purchased these products would rather have a processor on their rack than not. Every company walks a fine line when to deliver. No one wants to end up delivering an obsolete product. I don't argue that Emotiva didn't get into this line of business because they aren't passionate about it. But c'mon they're not a non-profit. They want to make $$$!!! But they do seem to have a test cycle that takes awhile longer than the big boys but I would guess that's more due to resources than better testing (even taking into consideration they're employing 17 types of ass). Lastly, I think it is finally safe to upgrade to Windows 2000. But I know. MS-DOS is pretty solid. Me ? I’m on another POL (Win7). I guess I never learn... Re info sharing your fears are totally unfounded. Don't fall for that crap. They won't go into a hole because someone complained about multiple missed dates. They are not stupid. After 4 or 5 missed dates do you really think that they thought no one would notice ? And that the criticism would intensify with every miss ? Let's not be naive about this. Like I said they want to make $$$ and be successful. They will continue to share (remember the passion thing) with you. If anything they will probably just hold off on a POL until the end is nearer in sight. And even then not because any one of us complained. I'm sure they are more receptive to the bad press they got. So Emotiva fans have no fear Emotiva will still be upfront with you (until Dan & Lonnie, etc get so big that they sell out to SONY and move to their own private island in Dubai).
