According to the Airmotiv manual that covers the Airmotiv speaker line - and even though I ordered the + models, the manual refers to the speakers without the plus - The E1's and E2's have "identical" general frequency response measurements. Both are listed as 65 to 28Khz, +3/-3db. The E1's have 4" drivers while the E2's have 5 1/4" drivers. Yes, their respective efficiencies and power handling are a little different, but their frequency capabilities are listed as being the same which rather surprises me.
In fact, I was listening to a video with some Atmos discussion folks, who agreed that when set up right (key point, only if set up RIGHT), those setups can be wonderful, otherwise can be really bad. Along the way they also remarked about all those "jokey" 4" driver surround speakers. So, I wonder, do the E1's actually handle things "as well" but maybe have to work harder, or is there a misprint in the manual?
I ordered the T2+'s and C2+, when the C2+ finally became available again, but hadn't looked to see that the E2+'s had also come in. Although easier to mount my E1's, I suspect I still want the E2+'s, particularly if they can handle the lower end with more aplomb when need be.

You can send it in to AudioSciencereview and they review it for free.
