Hi. Sorry, but I can't find the instruction manual. Anyway, a question about hooking up another DAC to the PT-100. When connected, will the DAC override the internet DAC in the pt-100? Or, is there some way to bypass the internal DAC to use the external one?

You simply connect the digital output of your source to a digital input of the DAC then connect the analog output of the DAC to an analog input of the PT-100. Then select that input on the PT-100 to play. What DAC are you thinking about?

I don't think it would be good for two DACs to be running simultaneously, but I'm very ignorant about them.

It's basically bypassed if you're not using a digital input because you'd have to select an analog input on the PT-100 to play from the external DAC . To the PT100 an external DAC is just another analog source like a CD or tape player. Digital goes into the external DAC and analog comes out. The PT-100 has no clue the analog signal is coming from a DAC and it wouldn't matter anyway. It's not unlike connecting a CD player with analog outputs. That CD player is in effect an external DAC that you'd be connecting to the PT-100.
