Hello everyone..it has been awhile since I have been on the FORUM. I have been pretty busy this School year up until a couple of weeks ago and since I have (along with the MRS.) been going though some acquire "THINGS" both daughters stored in a facility ..."OUR HOUSE" 😂 from their college days.
We literally emptied one side of our attic.
Glad it's over.
So..My JL Audio Fathom 110 subwoofer died last week. Sitting there watching "I Am Legend" the opening seen where Dr. Neville is driving a 2007 FORD Mustang Shelby GT 500 though the untenanted streets of NYC the rumbling low end at the end of his ride was flat. I replayed the scene standing next to the Fathom and the cone was not moving and the small LEDS lights were not lit.
😔
I can't tell you how let down I felt..it had been some time since I watch a movie and "I Am Legend" just seemed appropriate although my wife said I had sick fancies. WOW 😳!
Anyway I was able to corrupt her into watching the movie with me. It still was an entertaining movie with one sub out of commission.
I tried a different outlet even though I knew nothing was wrong with the manual fault line protector it was connected too.
No lights.
No sounds.
I call the electronics shop I deal with in Media Pa and who I had bought another FATHOM too..the 112. That was entirely my fault after my heel step on unbalanced input ripping it out from the 112. The FATHOMS have a sealed cabinet and it is somewhat of a challenge to open the back of the unit.
To do this they had to use, gingerly a heat gun to soften the sealant that is used to close the FATHOM.
Job well done I will add by Falcone's Electronics.
Three days and I had the unit back in operation, which I might add I was in the process of selling so I was in a small time frame.
Now a BIGGER problem...Co-Vid19 prevents Falcone's from opening and having the Fathom repaired.
WOW..IF this is my only problem I should be happy...and I am.
Life is GOOD.
Soon we will be back to nowmal.."whatever that means" subjectively speaking.
Hang in there EVERYONE!
