I live in Switzerland and would like to order the RMC-1L.
Since there are some hurdles for shipping goods to my country from US (delivery time, shipping costs, import taxes, administrative fees, etc.), I would like to know, when the new "Emotiva Dirac Network box" (or LBB) will be included in the standard bill of material of the RMC-1L? I don't want to deal with a separate subsequent delivery of the LBB. Any idea of the readiness date for the new default kit including the LBB for the RMC-1L?
Cheers, Alex

It wouldn't make sense to do it any other way due to simple economics and logistics.

It was planned to release Dirac by end of March and it now slipt to...? But if the LLB is finalized and the rest of the code is successful in beta testing, you should at least have an idea, when the new kit (bill of material including the LLB) will be ready for shipment, not?

That's why he said it's a wild guess. We don't have that information, so the only thing you'll find is speculation. If you want an official statement, you'll have to contact them, but they aren't giving out dates. I personally don't expect it in May, especially in Europe, but again, that's wild speculation as well. The closest we have is this thread which has some input from Emotiva employees. But again, you won't find anything concrete in that thread: emotivalounge.proboards.com/thread/56556/dirac-live-success-last

OK...... enough already...... we'll make sure EVERYBODY knows when we start shipping them.
We are awaiting final go-ahead on the final code... which we literally expect any day now. The boxes themselves take about ten minutes each to put together...
Add another few minutes to burn the code on the SD cards... and the plug those in. Then someone has to put them in the cardboard boxes... along with all the cables and accessories.
This all takes a little while... And we DO have a lot of these to put together and ship...
We're getting all this done as fast as we can... And we are now very very close...
However, at this point, I CAN tell you one thing for certain... It's NOT going to get done any faster if we have to keep taking time out to issue daily updates...
However, I WILL post the manual as soon as that's done... so you can all start practicing.

I’ll try to take a “wild guess” on KeithL’s comments.
1. Finalizing code and deployment - estimate mid-end of May 2. Things needed to be done prior to packaging (flashing the card, assembly of the black boxes etc. etc - estimate for end of June 3. Packaging and shipping - estimate starting sometime in July
If I’m totally off and we get it sooner that’s a bonus!
Otherwise please no more inquiries since a 30 second update from Emotiva may slow down the already snail 🐌 pace to a halt. Thanks for your cooperation. 😎
Just kidding KeithL! 😬

Can we not utilise the Lounge members who have said they are close enough to Franklin to pick up their own Dirac kit?
With the Coronavirus exclusion from work that many of us are suffering, they could work 12 hours a day as "envelope stuffers" in a socially distanced environment at Emotiva headquarters and pack & label & ship the boxes for the rest of us.

Thanks to a Star-Wars Day post by KeithL, it looks like things are closer to being finalised... The Dirac microphone calibration files have been freshly uploaded on May 4th and are now labelled as being for XMC-1, RMC-1, RMC-1L, and XMC-2 emotivalounge.proboards.com/board/224/assorted-reference-filesThe mic will undoubtedly be the same one as the EMM-1 shipped with the XMC-1 and why not.... I though it was fine for purpose and even though Ansat did a lot of work with different calibration files and comparisons made with other brands, I just stuck to the Emo mic and digitiser I have checked and the .txt calibration file is identical to the original 2015 one

I think though the OP can only be answered by someone from Emotiva, as his desire is to have the LBB-1 (AKA Ed Nib), included in the same box as his processor, reducing shipping costs and tariffs. Hopefully they can do that shortly after the LBB is released, but we can't speak for them.

Just a thought but I really don't see the LBB-1 being included in the actual box of any of the Prepro's simply because the existing boxes were not designed for the LBB-1. So unless Emotiva wants to redesign all of the boxes that the Prepro's are shipped in I doubt we will see the LBB-1 inside that box anytime soon.

So to come back to my original question: When I order the RMC-1L now, will the Emotiva Dirac Network box be included in the kit (same package)? Yes or No?

So to come back to my original question: When I order the RMC-1L now, will the Emotiva Dirac Network box be included in the kit (same package)? Yes or No? I don't think so. I received my XMC-2 on July 23, 2020 and they didn't include the DIRAC and the firmware ver was 1.10 still. I have to register MAC address and wait for them to ship the kit. Unless they start to ship the kit starting last couple days ago, it will not be included.
