I've been looking at different things for quite some time now. I recently ran across this company using Activated Carbon Coal Based Pellets inside their Diaphragmatic Absorbers. I've done some research and it does appear that using carbon in this way could be of great benefit. The company below is who makes the ones I first saw. They have a lengthy build video and DIY plans you can buy. Since I am looking to build something to tame a couple of Modes, I may consider these. I'm currently trying to figure out how to get an appropriate amount of carbon pellets delivered in the cheapest possible way. www.acousticfields.com/

Has anyone else looked into this? It is a very interesting concept in relation to how the carbon pellets drastically increases energy absorption.

And as a side benefit if you ever run out of fuel for your BBQ grill, you'll be set!
No, I've never heard of this before.
