Chuck ... How can we thank you? Bob & Gabriela Unmarked non-consecutive $100 bills in a plain envelope. Please add $5.00 for Canadian bills, eh. PM me for the mailing address. If you can't afford the stamp, wait until we come up to Butchart Gardens next time and we'll just stop by and pick it up. ROTFLOL, I just luv it. Coming right up, just keep checking your mailbox every day (heck, every 1/2 hour) for at least the next 50 years. You gotta trust me on this Chuck, IT WILL DO COME IN DUE TIME. * By the way we live straight across Butchart Gardens. But it's not such a good idea to meet there, the army is conducting some nuclear tests now! ...They use the flowers as a cover-up!

my soon to be (10-10-2010) significant other..... 10-10-10 ..... Oh man you are very smart! No way you will ever forget your anniversary date or the date you got married. Great minds think alike. We were married on 7-7-97. ;D 9-9-99 for us. ;D ...True too.

My son has just about outgrown his Honda CRF50. I have it listed for sale so I went ahead and ordered this little gem for him. Now daddy needs to find something to ride.

I recently added this to my home theater. Danley Sound Labs DTS-10 subwoofer DIY kit. Serious woofage. ;D Under construction: One of the two drivers: Final placement (big black box in the back left corner)

^^Very nice. I've been reading a lot of positive reviews on that kit. You happy with it?

^^Very nice. I've been reading a lot of positive reviews on that kit. You happy with it? Beyond pleased, especially considering the price. I upgraded from a SVS 16-46 Plus - Big jump up in output with a very clean sound. I've run it to reference levels and it's just loafing along (while it shakes the house). If the wife goes shopping this weekend, I'm going to break out the ear plugs and do some torture testing.

Serious woofage...(big black box in the back left corner) I was thinking of breaking into your house with some friends and carting it off until I notice that huge cage to the left. What the hell kind of animal lives in that? BTW: Nice sub!!!

Nice sub... my wife is pretty forgiving when it comes to the gear I select for my system, but I'm not sure if she would be ok with the size of that sub. All I can say is wow...

We have two mutts we rescued from animal shelters. One is mostly Aussie and the other is mostly American Foxhound. They used to have the run of the house until the Aussie "ate" the sofa. The cage keeps them from further "incidents" while we're gone. In the winter time we can't just lock them outside so we give them a little caged space where they can come inside through a dog door and stay warm. We wouldn't want to come home from work and find dogsickles.

Funny you should mention that. I showed my wife a picture of the sub and told her the dimensions and where it would be placed - she didn't understand the need for it, but was OK with the purchase. That is until I started building it. Once she saw its size in person, she was less than thrilled about it. I wasn't going to send it back at that point, darn!

Had some more acoustic panel frames dropped off this morning. There are six more panels being built and he should have them done next week. We also sat down with one of my sketches to discuss some custom bass traps. They will be made of red oak and will have four layers (6" thick) of acoustic dampening material. They will mount in the corners of my room. I like the design a lot as they will match nicely. These are four poplar wood frames which will be mounted from the ceiling. They will be painted white to blend in and have white acoustic suede coverings: The rest of the frames will be red oak and match the wood around my fireplace. The panels below will be mounted above and around a french door by my speakers. I still have to sand and stain them. The acoustic suede will be a tan color to match the walls. My builder needs to finish the end units and we were discussing some angles before he finishes them: I have a tall ceiling with weird angles. These panels should help me a lot. Rough MSPaint sketch of where some panels are going:

Looks great buddy... can't wait to see one finished. Maybe you should create a thread in the DIY section for custom panels as these look really nice and well thought out.

Once I get everything together, I may just do that. Would probably have been MUCH easier and probably cheaper to buy some already made. Unfortunately, my mind conjures up ideas and I get going....lol. I should have the rough wood template done next week for the bass traps. They are actually going to be at the top four corners of my room and be roughly 4 feet long. Thanks for the compliments Luis Rich .....and before anyone says it, damn, my ceiling fan is dusty.
