I was checking out one those Samsung LED's last week. Very cool, apparently a bit of the electronics are in the base which allows Samsung to be able to make it that thin. Actually that is not the case, I plan on mounting this and having it not more than 1.75 inches from the wall. 1.25 if I can get my cabling to run nicely and use the uber-super-ultra thin mount.

I should've known better and taken with a grain of salt what the BestBuy sales associate was shoveling.

Maybe the stand is an antenna for the 3D glasses to work ;D. Now that is something I would not be surprised to here in a Best Buy. Funny thing, Best Buy two weeks ago had, in their ad, a service that the Geek Squad can do which is to sync your 3D glasses to your TV.

Flexible 4-day JR East Pass, includes Shinkansen Select any four non-consecutive days within a one-month period. Shinkansen (Bullet Train) Fuji-san (Mount Fuji) (Guess which nut is going to Japan for a month, very shortly?)

Here is the set mounted up. So far so good! 1.7 inches from the wall.
