Actually that is not the case, I plan on mounting this and having it not more than 1.75 inches from the wall. 1.25 if I can get my cabling to run nicely and use the uber-super-ultra thin mount.

Reading your post made me think of something funny. Maybe the stand is an antenna for the 3D glasses to work ;D. Now that is something I would not be surprised to here in a Best Buy.

Funny thing, Best Buy two weeks ago had, in their ad, a service that the Geek Squad can do which is to sync your 3D glasses to your TV.
